1515/02/09Report of a dog over the cliff at Pennard. On arrival, met dog's owners who confirmed location of fall. MM10 descended and recovered the dog into MM ILB from base of cliff. ILB took dog and MM10 to ILB house. CRV and Owners proceeded back to ILB house to collect dog and cliffman.Cliff - Animal
1617/02/09Tasked to a report of a person stuck on the cliffs on Mumbles Hill. On arrival, casualty located near "Training Cliff". Casualty hypothermic having been out in the open for over 2 hours. Casualty taken to awaiting ambulance and transferred to Morriston.Search - Inv - suicide

2022/02/09Report of a Kitesurfer in difficulty off St Helens Rugby Ground. On arrival, Kitesurfer located and Mumbles ILB recovered the Kitesurfer ashore. Kitesurfer did not require any medical attention. Suitable advice given & details taken.Search - Inv - windsurfer
2124/02/09Report of a person collapsed on the beach at Blackpill. Located casualty and assisted paramedics with transfer of casualty from beach to an awaiting ambulance. Casualty was immobilised with a neck collar and a spinal board, and then carried using the CG Alphin Lite stretcher. Casualty known to CRT being the subject of two incidents last year. Search - Person Medivac
2201/03/09Report of a car having left the road near "The Cutting" and above Mumbles ILB station. On arrival, three occupants have been assisted out of the car and remained at the scene until all persons removed. Fire Service attached a winch wire to the car and brought the car up the slope to the road where it was recovered. Casualties taken to hospital.Cliff - Person
2313/03/09Report of a person missing in the Swansea Marina area, near the Sail Bridge. The Team assembled at Marina and commenced search. A distressed female was located near the Sail Bridge by the Fire Service. The casualty had changed out of the wet clothes and into new dry clothing.Search - Person missing
2415/03/09Tasked to collect details from the vessel "Maxum 23" which was being towed into Swansea Marina by another vessel. The casualty vessel had engine failure. Vessel well equipped with good LSA. Both crew wearing L/Js.Search - Boat details

3425/04/09Report of a person attempting to commit suicide off "the Pier" Swansea. Search teams despatched to check both Mumbles & Swansea Piers, foreshore between both and surrounds. The owner was transferred ashore while Mumbles ALB took the vessel in tow to Swansea. The owner was then driven to Swansea Marina by a Porthcawl Coastguard Officer.Search - Boat details
3708/05/09Report of two persons stuck in the mud somewhere between Knab Rock and West Cross. Casualties questioned by Ops Room staff and location identified as Norton. MM CRT proceeded and located the two casualties stuck in mud, close to the tideline. Both casualties were removed from the mud and escorted back to the promenade by MM CROs, muddy but safe & well. 3810/05/09Mumbles CRT tasked to meet the Vessel "Blackjack" being towed into Knab Rock by Mumbles ILB following engine problems. Vessel was a 250BHP jet boat which overheated due to coolant loss. Details taken & suitable advice given.Search - Boat details
3911/05/09Mumbles CRT tasked to a report of a windsurfer in difficulty off Southend/Village Lane slip area. On arrival, no windsurfers or equipment visible. Search area widened and a windsurfer was located at Knab Rock who confirmed he was close to the area reported. He had been paddling on his board and possibly looked in distress. 4011/05/09Mumbles CRT tasked to a report of a windsurfer in difficulty off Blackpill. On arrival, casualty located ashore after being assisted by a nearby kitesurfer. Casualty had a minor injury to one hand and First Aid administered.Search - Inv - windsurfer
4120/05/09Report from Ambulance Control of an injured person on the cliffs at Brandy Cove. On arrival, Paramedics on scene beginning to treat the casualty with Helimed 57 landing nearby and R169 approaching. Casualty had slipped and fallen from a path onto rock approx 10m below. Casualty winched by R169 and taken to hospital. Cliff - Person
4223/05/09Report of persons cut off on the Lighthouse island. Mumbles ILB launched and recovered one casualty ashore at Knab rock. MM CRT met the casualty and obtained details. Suitable advice also given.Search - Inv - cut-off

4424/05/09Many reports received of persons cut off by the tide on a sandbank opposite the Cenotaph, Brynmill. MM07 located the casualties close to the beach having waded ashore. Police also attended. Ambulance requested due to the small child being very cold and possibly hypothermic. 4625/05/09Report received of a person in the water opposite the Bay View Hotel, Swansea. MM03 proceeded direct and met Police units that had successfully brought the casualty ashore. The casualty was then taken to hospital. Details taken.Search - Inv - suicide
4725/05/09999 call received stating that a dingy had capsized near Mumbles Pier. CRT arrived and searched area around the Pier but nothing found. Checked with fishermen and Pier Staff but nobody had seen anything. Further details obtained via 999 call system indicated that this call was a Hoax. Police also attended.Search - Boat distress
4825/05/09Report received of children stuck in mud near Sketty Lane. On arrival, 5 people were located on a sandbank off Sketty Lane. They were escorted back ashore and washed down by the Fire Service as they were very muddy. Mud - Person
4927/05/09Report of an injured person on the cliff path east of Caswell Bay. Casualty was located on a rocky ledge approx 40m below the cliff path, just above the sea. The position was approx 1Km east of the bay. The casualty had a suspected broken ankle and wrist after a fall when "Bouldering" casualty evacuated using Rope Rescue and the Alphin Lite stretcher. Cliff - Person
5030/05/09Report of a kayaker face down in the sea near County Hall. On arrival, R169 requested by CRT and HLS set up. Casualty evacuated by R169 to Morriston. Casualty conscious. Ambulance & Police also attended along with Mumbles ILB.Search - Person Medivac

5231/05/09Mumbles CRT tasked to an additional incident to that above. A 10 year old child had been reported missing at Caswell Bay. Mumbles 07 proceeded and was stood down at Caswell as the child had been found safe. The child was located at the east side of the bay.Search - Person missing

5714/06/09Request from Ambulance control for assistance with an injured person at the Pier Beach. Mumbles. Casualty had fallen onto rocks, causing an open fracture to their ankle. First Aid given by CROs. RRV paramedic & Winchman from R169 then reduced the fracture and then the casualty was flown directly to Morriston Hospital.Search - Person Medivac
5818/06/09Report of a person injured on the beach opposite Ashley Road, Blackpill. On arrival, Ambulance & RRV on scene. Casualty reported a hip injury. Casualty carried up the beach to the Ambulance and taken to Hospital.Search - Person Medivac

6628/06/09Tasked to meet a vessel being towed into Knab Rock by Mumbles ILB. The vessel, a 5.5m Zodiac had broken down with fuel problems. Fuel tank topped up but couldn't restart the engine. Good LSA on board but no Radio or spare engine.Search - Boat details
6701/07/09Tasked to a report of a person in the water off the Carlton Hotel, Mumbles. On arrival, Police and Ambulance on scene. Mumbles ILB launched and recovered the person ashore after a period of discussion. Casualty declined medical treatment and was taken from the scene by Police.Search - Inv - suicide
6801/07/09Tasked to assist a person who had become lost in woodland near Pwll Du. On arrival, casualty appeared to be in woodland at the western side of the bay. Search teams despatched and casualty kept on the phone to try and use signals to home in. R169 flew over the area on its way back from Morriston Hospital and located the casualty in the woodland but had to winch them out of the woods. Casualty landed at Pennard Farm and met by friends and the CRT. All safe & well. Search - Person missing

7301/07/09Report of Red Flares seen at Langland bay. On arrival, two search teams despatched and enquiries made with groups of people on the beach. One group had taken photographs of the flare that was identified as "Chinese Lanterns" by the CRT. A second group of people confirmed the sighting at a similar time. 7402/07/09Tasked to a report of persons in the water off the Trafalgar hotel, Swansea. On arrival casualties located at the shoreline opposite the Slip bridge. Police had managed to talk the casualty out of the water. All persons escorted off the beach by CROs. Casualty and friends taken back to their hotel to ensure they didn't go back on the beach after CRT left scene. MM ILB also attended.Search - Inv - suicide
7503/07/09Tasked to meet the vessel "Discovery" being escorted into Knab Rock, Mumbles by Mumbles ILB. Vessel had steering failure but the crew managed a temporary repair. Good LSA.Search - Boat details
7604/07/09Report of a person in the water off the Bayview Hotel, Swansea. MM07 met Police on scene and they confirmed they had detained the casualty and was taken to Morriston Hospital by Ambulance. CRV stood down leaving station.Search - Inv - suicide
7704/07/09Tasked to the footpath between Caswell and Langland for an injured person. On arrival, Lifeguards had located the person and administered First Aid to cut on the person's right leg, near the ankle. Casualty declined evacuation by stretcher so walked back along path assisted by CROs. Casualty also declined further medical assistance.Search - Person Medivac
7804/07/09Tasked to Bracelet Bay following a report from Lifeguards of a cylinder floating near the shoreline. On arrival, object identified as a Helium Gas container used for blowing up balloons. Cylinder taken to the Council Office at Knab Rock for disposal.Search - Inv - object

8005/07/09Whilst at Langland on Incident 2022, tasked to search for two missing children who were last seen earlier in the day, rock jumping. Mumbles ILB remained on scene to commence search. 8420/07/09Requested to attend Knab Rock to meet a vessel being towed by Mumbles ILB. On its arrival, vessel brought ashore by trailer and details obtained from owner. Fault due to lack of fuel. Spare tank unusable due to incorrect pipe fittings and lack of necessary tools.Search - Boat details
8520/07/09Requested to attend Swansea Marina at the same time as the above incident, 2239. mumbles ALB had launched to recover the yacht "Swn Y Mor" which had suffered engine failure due to broken fuel pump. Dog had suffered injuries to both front and back legs and needed carrying back to the car park at Pennard Golf Club for the owner to take it to the vet. 9408/08/09Tasked to Mumbles Pier to a report of 5 persons cut off on the Lighthouse Island. Mumbles ILB recovered the casualties of the ILB house. The five people had been fishing but one became ill.Search - Inv - cut-off
